If you thought that the only off-road ready Lamborghini was the Lamborghini Urus or the LM002 from the 80’s, Lamborghini has a surprise for you.
Lamborghini has unveiled its new off-road concept, the Huracan Sterrato. Just like the similarly off-road inspired and Huracan-based Unicorn V3 Rally Car, the new concept is based on the Huracan EVO and uses the same 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10. The Huracan Sterrato also features unique four-wheel steering, four-wheel drive, suspension, and torque vectoring to aid in its off-road aspirations.
To maximize its capabilities to tackle less than hospitable terrain, the Huracan Sterrato uses different ECU mapping and the LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) system to increase traction and acceleration. Aluminum skid plates and side skirts combined with Kelvar body panels add a layer of protection during off-road ventures, while increased ground clearance of 47mm and 6.5% increase in departure angle imbue the originally low slung Lamborghini with some serious off-road credentials.
