Jurassic Park introduced the world to a long forgotten land filled with creatures that we’ve only been able to see in books and museums. For those who can remember watching the first film in theaters, it was a cinematic experience unlike any other, with ultra realistic CGI that still holds up to this day.
Two sequels soon followed, but failed to capture the essence of the first film, with a generally uninspired storyline. After a lengthy hiatus, 2015’s Jurassic World successfully relaunched the franchise, raking in a boatload of cash in the process. Opinions from film critics were abysmal at best, but that hasn’t stopped the next installment from quickly being green-lit for new generation dinosaur-hungry movie-goers.
The latest and final trailer for the next addition to the franchise reveals a bit more about its premise while showcasing some of the toothy terror. It feels more like a hybrid of adventure and horror that will hopefully capture the same sense of awe and terror the firm film was able to capture. The trailer also reveals how human greed – predictably – plays into the whole plot.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will hit theaters June 22, 2018.
