Produced by Jaguar between 1948 and 1954, the XK120 is one of the most iconic and beautiful sports cars manufactured by the storied British automaker. It’s iconic front end, sweeping rounded fender, and long hood is still eye-catching as it was when first introduced at the London Motor Show in 1948. Most good examples of the XK120 are demanding upwards of a $100,000 these days, making these classic Jaguars out of reach for most of us.
For those that have caught the bug but a bit short of cash, why not consider the Jaguar XK120 Mini Roadster instead? Half the size of a regular XK120, this pint sized roadster is big on fun and much more attainable as well. Although the diminutive size may have more in common with a child’s toy, it’s anything but a children’s toy. With a gas-powered 110cc four-stroke air-cooled engine with a top speed of 38 mph, three-speed automatic transmission, double front and single rear wishbone suspension, gas shocks, 10-inch aluminum wheels, and hydraulic Brembo disc brakes, it’s has the makings of a regular sized vehicle on the road, but at half the size.
