The Jacques Marie Mage ZEPHIRIN & YVES sunglasses capture a modern look through a timeless hand-crafting process. Because of this painstaking (and time consuming) operation, only 5 pairs of each of the ZEPHIRIN and YVES silhouettes will be released through an exclusive partnership with Black Optical. All 10 pairs of sunglasses are hand-wrapped in Bison leather by Italian artisans. Their craftsmanship gives the leather a textured appearance with added contour and contrast from being shrunken by 30% to envelop each frame. The pebbled leather grain achieves a unique texture that gives the ZEPHIRIN and YVES sunglasses a distinct aesthetic.
The frames are thick and sturdy, combining the best materials from around the world. Jacques Marie Mage was sure to use ecologically-sourced Bison leather from Texas. The rounded lenses of the ZEPHIRIN and the square lenses of the YVES have a red tint and a blue tint, respectively. Matte black hardware finishes the ZEPHIRIN in a subtler monochromatic look. Meanwhile, the 18k gold hardware used on the YVES adds bold contrast.
