Indian Motorcycle was founded way back in 1901 as America’s first motorcycle company, with the trailblazing innovators Oscar Hedstrom and George M. Hendee setting out to transform the design process. Dominating the Motorcycle Wrecking Crew in the 1950s, the company has gone on to manufacture an extensive range of hugely popular models for biking enthusiasts. Its latest release, The Indian FTR x 100% R Carbon motorbike, has been made in collaboration with 100%, the apparel company based in the United States best known for its eyewear and protective gear.
The FTR x 100% R Carbon motorbike features the 100% branding throughout the design, helped by the bike’s striking silhouette and cool LED lighting. A 4-inch touchscreen brings a contemporary flavor that contrasts with the naked bike’s overall aesthetic, while the 19F/18R wheels offer a comfortable upright riding position. This gives the Indian FTR x 100% R Carbon a pleasing feel that sits midway between a track throwback and retro roadster that bikers will likely adore.
Additional modern elements used in the design of the FTR x 100% R Carbon include carbon fiber and hop-up parts, manufactured in a gorgeous candy blue livery that wraps from the front fender through the headlight, tank covers, and seat cowl.
