The Honda Neo Sports Café Concept appears to be Honda’s fresh approach to modernizing classic café racer design with today’s tech and the latest bells and whistles. One look at the bike’s proportions, and you will immediately recognize its café racer proportions and design lineage.
Look just a bit closer, however, and you will notice Honda’s sleek refinements that clearly show this is a current bike despite its classic design roots. The retro throwback design is paired with clean, minimalist lines that work well with the bike’s digital instruments and modern LED headlight ring.
When the bike was shown off at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show, it also exhibited angled pipes and wire-spoke alloys, which again modernize this classic design in tastefully minimalist fashion. Honda has yet to reveal tech specs for the bike, but the Neo revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show sported a four-into-one exhaust, which may indicate a four-cylinder engine is primed for an appearance.
While the Neo Sports Café Concept is in “wait and see” mode for the full specs, it shouldn’t be long until further information is revealed should Honda bring this exciting concept to market.
For now, bike enthusiasts and fans of the classic café racer design may want to keep tabs on the Neo for any further developments.
