After a lengthy delay, people are finally getting their hands on the new 2021 Ford Bronco. Some of these new Bronco owners will probably be voiding the warranty with aftermarket off-road parts in the comfort of their garage or with a trusting mechanic. However, those looking to squeeze more power from their 2021 Bronco, for a price, can visit Hennessey Performance Engineering for the all-new VelociRaptor package. This newly introduced performance package by Hennessey boosts the Bronco’s factory output to over 400 horsepower and is exclusive to the 2021 Ford Bronco.
The base for the Hennessey VelociRaptor package is the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands. From the factory, its top-tier engine option, the 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6, produces 315-hp burning 87-octane gasoline (the cheap stuff). When given 93-octane premium fuel, the EcoBoost V6 raises its output to 330-hp. The Hennessey package adds a new intake, exhaust system, and reprograms the engine’s ECU to find 75-hp and 88 lb.-ft of torque. Hennessey claims the VelociRaptor 400 Ford Bronco will produce 405-hp and 503 lb.-ft of torque capable of pushing the 4×4 SUV from zero to 60 in 4.9-seconds.
In addition to the extra power, the Hennessey VelociRaptor 400 Bronco features bespoke 18-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch off-road tires. Electric fold-out side steps, front bumper-mounted LED lights, custom rear bumper, and embroidered headrests are all part of the VelociRaptor package. For the 2021 model year, Hennessey is only producing 200 units of the VelociRaptor 400 Bronco. The package includes the cost of the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands. Even so, the total price tag for this high-horsepower 4×4 is within view of a six-figure benchmark.
