G-Shock has once again drawn inspiration from NASA for its latest release, the fifth in a series of limited-edition watches celebrating space exploration. The new GW6900NASA241 model is a nod to both NASA’s legacy and Casio’s iconic calculators, blending math and science seamlessly into its design. If previous releases were a bit too bold for your taste, this new model offers a more understated yet striking look.
The GW6900, G-Shock’s best-selling case design, serves as the base for this limited edition. It features a semi-round 53.2 × 50 × 17.7 mm resin case and band in black, with red, yellow, and blue accents around the dial, reminiscent of classic calculator buttons. This solar-powered watch boasts multi-band 6 atomic timekeeping and 200m water resistance, making it both functional and durable.
In addition to standard features like world time, a 1/100-second stopwatch, and four alarms, this watch includes a unique backlight Easter egg. Pressing the backlight button reveals the word “Gravity” alongside the gravitational force equation: F = (m₁m₂)/R². The back of the shock-resistant case is engraved with the formula for the force of impact, further emphasizing the scientific theme.
The GW6900NASA241 is powered by a digital caliber with a nine-month battery life under normal use and up to 26 months when stored in darkness with the power save function on. With its thoughtful design and robust features, this limited edition watch is a perfect tribute to NASA’s pioneering spirit and G-Shock’s commitment to innovation.
