The charm of Casio’s basic digital watches has always been how little they demand. The new Casio F-B100W preserves that low-friction character while quietly adding a step counter, Bluetooth synchronization, and activity history.

Its bio-based resin case measures 41.9 by 38.1 by 8.8 mm and weighs 26 grams, only modestly larger than the F-91W that supplies the visual blueprint. Four pushers, an integrated resin strap, an LED backlight, and familiar face graphics keep it recognizable. The standard black version carries blue, red, and gold accents, while green and reverse-display variants broaden the range without changing the core hardware.

An accelerometer records as many as 999,999 steps, displays recent activity as a compact graph, and supports daily goals from 1,000 to 50,000 steps. Connection to the Casio Watches app adds automatic time correction, activity logs, roughly 300 world-time cities, and a phone finder. Five alarms, a countdown timer, and a 1/100-second stopwatch with 200-lap memory retain the practical depth expected from affordable digital watches.

The tradeoff is battery life: the CR2016 cell is rated for about two years rather than the F-91W’s famous seven. Casio lists the F-B100W at £55, with broader U.S. availability not yet disclosed.
