Casio has expanded its mechanical watch lineup with the new EDIFICE EFK-200, a collection that builds on the success of last year’s EFK-100 while introducing a more refined design language inspired by high-performance automobiles. Announced as the latest addition to the brand’s motorsport-focused EDIFICE family, the EFK-200 emphasizes sculpted casework, premium finishing, and advanced materials over outright technical complexity.

The biggest visual change is the redesigned stainless steel case, which adopts softer curves and a cushion-shaped bezel with cut corners. Casio applies separate mirror and hairline finishes throughout the case, allowing the watch to reflect light differently depending on the viewing angle. The effect echoes the flowing bodywork of modern performance cars, reinforcing the EDIFICE collection’s longstanding connection to automotive design.

The lineup also introduces a broader range of dial treatments. The flagship EFK-200XPB and EFK-200CD feature forged carbon dials made from the same material commonly found in high-end sports cars, showcasing the distinctive marbled texture unique to forged carbon. Meanwhile, the stainless steel EFK-200D and EFK-200DG models receive richly textured gradient dials created through electroforming and clear-coat finishing, giving each colorway additional depth without sacrificing legibility. Large applied indices, bold hands, and a date display maintain the everyday practicality expected from an EDIFICE sports watch.

Powering every model is a Japanese automatic mechanical movement, visible through a transparent case back that highlights the watch’s moving components. Rather than competing with traditional Swiss luxury pieces, the EFK-200 continues Casio’s effort to bring accessible mechanical watchmaking to the EDIFICE collection while preserving the brand’s emphasis on durability and everyday wearability.

With its combination of automotive-inspired design, forged carbon construction on select models, and mechanical movement, the EFK-200 represents a natural evolution of Casio’s growing automatic watch portfolio. It broadens the appeal of the EDIFICE collection beyond its long-established solar and quartz offerings while giving enthusiasts another affordable entry point into mechanical sports watches.
