Bang & Olufsen recently expanded its Recreated Classics Program with the Beosystem 72-22. The company says this limited-edition music system bridges the gap between the iconic Beogram 4000 turntable from 1972 and cutting-edge digital technology provided by modern audio systems. Additionally, Bang & Olufsen explains the original Beogram 4002 was future-proofed with space built-in for future technological upgrades. The system’s 72-22 moniker refers to 1972, the date of the turntable’s original release, and 2022, the year of its recreation at the same factory—in Struer, Denmark—where the original turntable was built.
The Bang & Olufsen Beosystem 72-22 is the next step in Bang & Olufsen’s Recreated Classics Initiative, with a reimagined Beogram 4000c turntable with customized pearl-blasted titanium tone aluminum and solid walnut. There are also matching Beolab 18 stereo speakers and a Beoremote Halo remote control. Bang & Olufsen’s fully integrated music system uses the Halo remote charging station and wireless connectivity hub to enable content streaming even when the turntable is not in use.
Finally, the Bang & Olufsen Beosystem 72-22 system comes in a solid walnut presentation box. The box can double as a turntable stand or a matching storage cabinet for records. To top it off, Bang & Olufsen says they handpicked four all-time classic albums, released in 1972 from Paul Simon, David Bowie, Carly Simon, and The Allman Brothers Band.
