The story of Vincent van Gogh has already been told millions of times, including several memorable portrayals on the silver screen. But if the trailer for Julian Schnabel’s upcoming At Eternity’s Gate is any indication, movie fans and art aficionados alike are about to get the van Gogh biopic we never knew we needed.
First of all, the film has an amazing look and feel, but you’d expect that from the director of Before Night Falls and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Secondly, the film features an incredible cast that includes Oscar Isaac, Mads Mikkelsen, and Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe as van Gogh.
