Alpine unveiled a special edition variant of its A110 R dedicated to two-time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso. This exclusive Alpine A110 R is limited to 32 examples, one for each of Alonso’s F1 career wins. But, more importantly, Alonso himself approved the car’s final design.
Each Alpine A110 R Fernando Alonso edition features a patented height-adjustable suspension tuned to the F1 driver’s specifications. Unique features include an orange steering wheel and door straps with black microfiber accents and Alonso’s signature embroidered on the seats. In addition, a blue, orange, and yellow flag is embroidered on the door panels. Furthermore, the car’s center console houses a special edition tribute plaque displaying the year and circuit of one of Alonso’s F1 victories making each sports car unique.
Every Alpine A110 R Fernando Alonso Edition leaves the factory wearing Racing Matte Blue. The car’s front and rear lids wear feature exposed carbon fiber, and another blue, orange, and yellow flag is displayed on the car’s rear quarter windows. In addition, the race-prep brake calipers are painted orange in contrast to its gray edge wheels. Moreover, the rear shield and spoiler supports are painted anodized black.
Powering the A110 R Fernando Alonso edition is a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing a healthy 297 hp and 251 lb.-ft of torque. In addition, the custom adjustable suspension allows owners to lower the car by 10mm for enhanced track-day performance. To top it all off, each of the 32 limited-edition Alpines includes a replica F1 racing helmet signed by Fernando Alonso.
