Sneaker enthusiasts and fashion-forward individuals, get ready to have a white Christmas this year, courtesy of the adidas x Fear of God Athletics Basketball Sneaker. Following the much-anticipated launch of the adidas x Fear of God Athletics collection earlier this month, a new colorway for the Basketball sneaker is set to drop, promising a clean and stylish addition to your sneaker rotation.
This snowy color scheme drapes the entire sneaker in pristine white, with the only contrast being a black embossed Fear of God logo adorning the heel. The mid-top design features a comfortable knit upper paired with a neoprene collar to ensure a snug fit. TPU overlays, reminiscent of Adidas’ Predator soccer cleats, provide excellent foot lockdown, while the lacing system incorporates a convenient toggle for quick fastening.
Underneath, the sneaker boasts Lightstrike foam housed within a translucent sole unit, promising both style and performance. Despite the high anticipation for Fear of God’s partnership with adidas, the debut collection didn’t sell out immediately, likely due in part to its premium price tag. The Basketball sneaker also bears a resemblance to the Nike Fear of God 1, which made its debut in 2018 before the brand transitioned to adidas.
Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo shared his vision, stating, “Everything we’re doing is trying to create a new way for people to aspire to sport, after Jordan, at that level. I think there is a new way to aspire to be a part of something, and I don’t know that it has to be tied to the best athlete.”
The adidas x Fear of God Athletics Basketball sneaker is set to drop today on Fear of God’s website, retailing for the same $250 price as the previously released colorways. Don’t miss your chance to step into a winter wonderland with these pristine kicks.
