The Mercedes-Benz EQ line-up gained a new member, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV. This all-wheel-drive capable model has the honor of being the first all-electric performance SUV for Mercedes-Benz. The overview specs of the EQE SUV state a range of up to 369 miles and a maximum output of 402 hp for the top-tier performance variant. However, like all Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the 2024 EQE offers much more.
Don’t let the SUV’s egg-shaped exterior design and nearly three-ton curb weight fool you into thinking the EQE is a mild-manner EV. There are five different variants of the EQE, with the hottest being the Mercedes-AMG EQE packing a 687 hp power output. In addition, the AMG-badged EQE comes standard with all-wheel drive, AMG-tuned air suspension, rear-axle steering, and AMG-tuned chassis.
At the other end of the spectrum is the entry-level 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ featuring a single motor on a rear axle. This model offers 288 hp and 417 lb.-ft of torque and a WLTP range of 300 to 396 miles. The EQE 350 4Matic with all-wheel drive increases the torque figure to 564 lb.-ft of torque but at the cost of a lower range of 287-349 miles.
The last variant before stepping into AMG territory is the EQE 500 4Matic, with 396 hp and 633 lb.-ft of torque and a WLTP-rated range of 288 to 342 miles. All variants of the EQE use the same 90.6-kWh battery pack, which Mercedes-Benz guarantees for ten years or 155,000 miles – with an unspecified “defined residual capacity.”
As for the interior, buyers can option their EQE with the hyper-screen digital dashboard. Other high-tech creature comforts include a Dolby Atmos audio system and a HEPA filter-equipped air filtration system. In addition, the EQE’s navigation system can suggest the best route with charging stations along the way. Pricing for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV will be announced at a later date.
