Porsche has released teaser photos of its new 2023 LMDh race car set to compete in the IMSA and FIA World Endurance Championship in 2023. This new prototype racer wears an entirely new design from the Porsche 919 Hybrid based on the teaser photos showing different angles of the car’s rear. Apart from the giant rear wing, we see an LED light bar illuminating the car’s entire width. In addition, the rear wing also carries red and orange LED lights.

The rear design of the 2023 Porsche LMDh prototype shows its muscular wheel arches and great white shark fin running over the engine cover. We can see the car sports a roof scoop. In addition, the exhaust ports have been incorporated in the rear clamshell. At this time, we do not know what the front of this car looks like. There are no details on the engine’s performance, but LMDh race cars are capped at 670-hp.

In addition to the teaser photos, Porsche announced the drivers of the LMDh project. These drivers are Dane Cameron and ex-Formula One driver Felipe Nasr. Both drivers have won multiple WeatherTech SportsCar Championship titles in recent years. On-track testing of the 2023 Porsche LMDh prototype is set to begin in 2022 with Penske Racing.
