It was inevitable, and it’s finally here. Meet the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor. There was no way Ford would bring back the Bronco nameplate and not give it a Raptor performance package. This new variant is powered by a twin-turbo V6 making over 400-hp bolted to Ford’s 10-speed automatic. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 is similar to the engine found in the Ford Explorer ST tuned for off-road performance. Ford has not released exact figures but claims the Bronco Raptor will deliver more than 400 horsepower with better performance at higher RPMs. Its BF Goodrich K02 all-terrain tires measure at 37-inches wrapped around 17-inch bead-lock wheels to provide 13.1-inches of ground clearance. The Bronco Raptor wears wider fender flares with unique fender liners to fit the larger wheels. In addition, the Bronco Raptor uses a HOSS 4.0 race-ready suspension system with new shock towers. The skid plates on the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor have been upgraded too. In addition, Ford engineers gave the SUV running boards that bolt on directly to the rock rails.

Inside, the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor brings a touch of luxury with leather bolsters and carbon-fiber trim. Moreover, the automatic paddle shifters are made from magnesium. Given its off-road nature, the upholstery in the Bronco Raptor is a washable microsuede that also helps prevent passengers from sliding in their seats. Ford will begin accepting orders for the Bronco Raptor in March 2022. The Raptor is only available as a four-door with a removable hardtop. The Ford Bronco Raptor is available in ten exterior colors and the option of Rhapsody Blue interior over the standard black.
