Bentley has introduced a new variant to its Bentayga lineup. The 2022 Bentley Bentayga S is an ultra-luxury SUV with improved performance and handling. Essentially a sports package variant, the Bentayga S is designed to provide a more dynamic driving experience. The power derives from Bentley’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, producing 542-horsepower and 568 lb.-ft of torque. It reaches 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and tops out at 180 mph with room for up to seven passengers. The Bentayga S has an enhanced Sport mode and features improved handling components as standard equipment. Like Bentley’s Dynamic Ride electric active roll control system powered by a 48V system, this system works to reduce lateral body roll when cornering. Bentley’s Torque Vectoring sharpens steering by applying light braking to the inside rear wheel when entering a corner. Granted, the Bentayga Speed is more powerful with its 6.0-liter W12 engine. However, the Bentayga S is more about track-day performance than straight-line top speed. Bentley also gave the Bentayga S bespoke design cues to let other drivers know this is a tuxedo matched with track shoes.
The Bentayga S rear spoiler is larger, the bumpers are lower, and black trim is featured throughout. The Bentayga S also sports dark tint headlamps, and ‘S’ badges are prominently displayed throughout the vehicle. You’ll hear them before you see its 22-inch wheels, thanks to the Bentayga S standard free-flow exhaust system. The 2022 Bentley Bentayga S interior offers unique stitching and color split on its Alcantara leather seats. Bentley made sure to embroider ‘S’ badges on the seats and gave the Bentayga Sport unique color accents on the instrument panel. The 2022 Bentley Bentayga S seems like the ideal vehicle of choice for the manager of a racing team who also runs an employee carpool.
