Vintage Aston Martins have an allure that defines what motoring is for the gentleman driver. There’s little questions as to why the world’s most famous super spy is closely associated with the brand. Although the U.S. market gets it’s fair share of Aston Martins, the U.S. government’s strict enforcement on safety and emission standards means that there are many coveted cars that we just don’t get to see on this side of the pond. However there is an exemption to this rule, where a vehicle that is older than 25 years can be legally imported into the U.S.
The first Aston Martin V8 Vantage X-Pack to be made publicly available stateside, this 1987 car is being dubbed the first ‘true’ V8 Vantage in the U.S. to take advantage of the high-performance European specification. No doubt a collector’s item, the car is has gone through a full cosmetic restoration that also includes a period-correct Balmoral Green exterior paint job as well.
Available exclusively through RM Sotheby’s in January, this will be a rare opportunity to own a superb example of the ultimate Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
