In 1980, Apple sponsored an entry into one of the world’s most prestigious races — The 24 Hours of Le Mans. The aim of that plan was to announce the nascent company’s arrival to the global audience whose eyes would be fixated on the famous event. The 1979 Porsche 935 oozes an aesthetic that made that message loud and clear. This sporty Porsche comes with all the bells and whistles of a track car from the 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine to the GT2 six-speed transmission. Both only have 20 hours of track time on them since this 935 was rebuilt by Loren Beggs of 911 Design. This motor is a Bob Holcomb build with Mahle pistons, refurbished turbos, and a Mode intercooler. It can reach speeds over 200 mph, making its Gran Prix White paint job and racing sponsor decals the perfect design scheme.
This 935 also features the Holcomb electronic fuel injection system. The 993 double wishbone suspension and the 18-inch wheels with 993 locks help the vehicle stick to the road like glue. Brembo brakes offer superior stopping power for any conditions. This revolutionary Porsche racer also comes with OMP seats and straps in 2017. Additional features include the Fuel Safe gas tank in a 27-gallon size and dual adjusting JRZ dampeners.
