Travelers need their gadgets charged when they’re on the go. Zendure’s new portable charger ensures it’s easy to do so — anywhere that has a power source. The aptly named Zendure Passport III is the globetrotter of computer, phone, and almost everything-else chargers. Compatible with power sources in more than 200 countries, the Passport III ensures that everything can be safely and quickly charged. Designed with travel in mind, it charges up to six devices (four USB-C connections) at 65 watts, yet is more compact than most chargers that power only one or two devices.
The compact size stems from using more efficient Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductors rather than standard silicon. Which semiconductors are in a charger might seem like a small detail (and literally is), but it is no small issue when that reduces how much luggage space must be devoted to electronic accessories. It is also immensely helpful when a wall outlet is awkwardly positioned in your hotel room or at a cafe.
The same forethought has been given to the charger’s safety, which is especially important when traveling in some of those less-developed 200+ countries. A bimetallic thermal sensor adjusts electrical contacts depending on the current temperature in the charger, and an automatic resetting fuse ensures no devices get fried. You don’t want to give much thought to your charger when traveling. When packing the Zensure Passport III into your bag or plugging it into the wall, you won’t have to.
