Electric sports bike manufacturer Verge has released a new flagship model dubbed the Verge TS Ultra. The e-bike’s performance lives up to its name, offering blistering acceleration with reasonable range and fast charging time.
The radical-looking sports bike features a hubless rear wheel that houses the motor. The Verge TS Ultra packs a whopping 885 lb.-ft of torque and 201 horsepower. As a result, the TS Ultra sprints from zero to 60 in 2.5 seconds and onward to a limited top speed of 124 mph. In addition to offering an estimated range of 233 miles.
Besides giving the bike a signature and futuristic look, the hubless drive wheel allows Verge to add the larger 20.2-kWh battery pack and lower the bike’s center of gravity. Verge claims that the TS Ultra can go from zero to 80% battery life in 25 minutes when using a DC fast charger.
In addition to face-altering acceleration, the bike comes in five color options in gloss or matte finish. Plus, three seat material options: leather, perforated leather, and Alcantara. Lastly, riders can choose to have their Verge TS Ultra with Wilbers or Ohlins suspension.
Verge is taking pre orders with a $1000 reserve and can expect delivery in late 2023. However, for those in the United States, Verge limits production to select states depending on EV regulations.
