The Tyrannosaurus Rex was once the most feared predator to ever walk the Earth. That primal nature lives on in the Urwerk UR 100V T-Rex, the latest innovation from Urwerk. Its case has been fashioned in burnished solid bronze with a distinctive scale pattern that leaves the timepiece rugged and bold. A three-step process was used to create this unique treatment, resulting in a delicate patina and singular color, evoking a reptilian quality. The scales are slightly raised and surround the domed sapphire crystal, while the caseback is PVD blackened titanium.
Perhaps the most distinct element of this chronograph is the self-winding mechanism, regulated by a Windfänger turbine to prevent overwinding. On the face of the watch, three satellites rotate in tandem, each representing four hours of the passage of time. A red pointer marks a sixty-minute scale. Additionally, when the red pointer has finished its hour-long trek, it reveals the distance traveled by the Earth around the sun in a period of twenty minutes. Measuring at 41 mm in width and just under 50 mm in length, the Urwerk UR 100V T-Rex has been pressure tested to three atmospheres. Only twenty-two of these timepieces have been crafted, ensuring their rarity on par with the mighty T-Rex itself.
