In addition to being anointed by Kanye West (and dating Kylie Jenner), Travis Scott is widely known for bringing considerable sonic experimentation to the world of southern trap hip hop, but those close to him know that he’s also passionate about sneakers. Well, Travis Scott got the chance to remake one of his favorite shoes of all time – the high-top Nike Air Jordan I.
Sporting colors inspired by Scott’s childhood, the Travis Scott Air Jordan I High OG includes a number of distinctive features like a hidden heel pocket with a velcro closure, a backward version of the trademark Nike swoosh, and the logo for Cactus Jack (Scott’s burgeoning record label). Underplaying their quality, Scott calls his custom Jordan 1 “just a fresher version of my old play shoes.”
