When rattling off some of the most beloved movies of the 1980s, Top Gun likely ranks high on most people’s lists. If you’re someone who has always loved Tom Cruise in his role as Maverick and Val Kilmer as Iceman you won’t need to wait much longer for the long-awaited sequel. 34 years after the release of the original, Top Gun: Maverick will finally come to theaters in the summer of 2020. This time, beyond the legendary duo of Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer, Hollywood heavyweights like Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris, and Jon Hamm also join the cast.
While little of the overall plot is known outside of Tom Cruise teaching the next generation of pilots, the Top Gun: Maverick New Trailer was just released. It’s loaded with nostalgia, and of course, some impressive flying that we wouldn’t at all be surprised if Tom Cruise did himself.
