Physical music keeps finding new ways to become smaller without becoming invisible. The Tiny Vinyl Player gives the four-inch record format its own piece of hardware: a compact clamshell deck that sits somewhere between a working stereo and a collectible object.

The player is built specifically around Tiny Vinyl, traditionally pressed four-inch records that hold one song per side and spin at 33 rpm. A faux-leather case houses the platter and built-in stereo speakers, allowing the discs to play without a full-size turntable, receiver, or external speaker setup. Bluetooth extends playback to wireless speakers when the small internal pair is not enough. The proportions recall children’s record players, but the black finish and simple controls avoid leaning too heavily into toy styling.

The format itself uses 15 grams of bio-attributed vinyl per disc, compared with roughly 140 grams for a standard LP. Each pressing receives a printed TV number for authentication, reinforcing the object’s role as artist merchandise and a displayable single. It is a deliberately different proposition from an all-in-one hi-fi system such as the Andover SpinPlay: convenience and collecting take priority over fidelity.

The Tiny Vinyl Player is available exclusively at Target for $49.99 in black, alongside storage crates, display frames, and four-inch releases.
