Tag Heuer and Porsche have forged a new strategic partnership that will produce numerous co-branded products, starting with the watch just unveiled: The Tag Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph Special Edition. The new model introduces a number of features directly inspired by Porsche’s design essence. The lines of the 44 mm x 15.27 mm steel case are highlighted by alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces. Porsche’s engraved inscription with the typical font is visible on the black ceramic bezel. The asphalt effect used for the dial reflects the passion for the road that unites the two brands. The large Arabic numerals used for the 5-minute markers suggest the numbers on the dashboard of Porsche sportscars. Incorporated throughout the Tag Heuer Carrera Porsche watch, the black, grey, and red colors emphasize the sports DNA of the watch.
The steel case has an array of brushed and polished finishes and two pump-style chronograph pushers flanking a red-striped, fluted crown with an engraved TAG Heuer shield. The case is mounted on either a black calf leather strap or a steel bracelet with interlocking H-shaped links. The leather strap features another tribute to Porsche cars with its contrast stitching, which echoes the look of Porsche’s luxe leather interiors. The Tag Heuer Carrera Porsche timepiece is delivered in a distinctive black watch box with the logos of both TAG Heuer and Porsche in white, which also includes a sleek black travel pouch with a “Porsche red” interior.
