The Italian brand Stone Island and American New Balance are household names, known for their pioneering approaches to fabric innovation, sports-oriented footwear, and rich history. With a string of collaborations already under their belts, they’ve teamed up once again for the new STONE ISLAND | NEW BALANCE MADE in USA 998 sneakers.

Inspired by the classic sneaker first released in 1993, the 998, the STONE ISLAND | NEW BALANCE MADE in USA 998 brings it to the contemporary market with a series of updates. The original was the first to utilize New Balance’s ABZORB cushioning technology, with Stone Island’s iconic Raso Gommato fabric informing the new design.

This has been combined with cutting-edge new materials that blend a cotton canvas with a rubberized polyurethane coating for a unique aesthetic. Its satin-weave cotton, with origins in the military, results in a truly distinct sneaker that further distinguishes itself by contrasting the lamination and satin colors.
Both brands are represented on the STONE ISLAND | NEW BALANCE MADE in USA 998 sneakers. The iconic New Balance logo is complemented by the Stone Island logo on the tongue. Likewise, the classic ABZORB logo is also present, embossed on the side of the rubber soles.
Anticipation of the STONE ISLAND | NEW BALANCE MADE in USA 998 sneakers is likely to be high when they become available to purchase on March 27th, 2025. Pairs are only available through the brand’s event for account holders and one item per order and user.
