Spider-Man fans, rejoice! The second official trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to the Oscar-winning animated feature, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, has finally arrived. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, part one of the sequel, is set to premiere on June 2, and it looks like it’s going to be a wild ride.
The trailer showcases a crew of Spider-Men and women, known as “The Lobby,” who are charged with protecting the multiverse. Miguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaac) leads the group, which includes the returning cast of Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), and Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson). The new film also introduces several new characters, such as Issa Rae as Spider-Woman, Daniel Kaluuya as Spider-Punk, Jason Schwartzman as the Spot, and more.
However, things don’t go smoothly for Miles, who finds himself at odds with Miguel and the other spiders. The young hero wants to save one person and every world, but Miguel believes he needs to choose between the two. Miles is determined to do his own thing, even if it means going against his friends.
Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse promises to be an exciting addition to the Spider-Man franchise, with a diverse cast of characters, stunning animation, and an action-packed storyline. The sequel is co-directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson from a story by producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Dave Callaham. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse debuts June 2, 2023, while part two, Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse, is slated for theaters on March 29, 2024.
