Behind every good pair of sunglasses lies a great man (or woman). If that’s the case then wearers of the Kennedy Riding Glasses must be pretty great. The result of a collaboration between Shwood and Iron and Resin, the shades are intended to be as functional as they are attractive.
Representing the balance of style and utility inspired by their motorcycle design, the sunglasses are expertly designed to be worn while biking but also while out and about. The glasses are constructed out of premium Italian acetate, renewable-made from cotton and wood pulp. Their raw yet refined look is echoed in the lightweight but strong materials it’s made out of.
Constant tweaking and tinkering throughout the collaboration resulted in a magnetic clip for day or night wear. A darker shade of lens can easily be snapped on to transition between different light conditions. With motorcycle riders in mind, the Kennedy glasses incorporate new ‘Slim-Line” temples that taper down into super thin wire that accommodates the weight of a helmet and allows for easy sliding on and off while wearing one.
As for the lenses, the Kennedy Riding Glasses have unparalleled clarity with “Optics by Carl Zeiss Vision” CR-39 or polarized lenses that are fitted into each model. To keep damaging sun rays at bay, the lenses feature 100 percent UVA/UVB protection and also have a superior coating for increased comfort and protection.
