Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Samsung and Apple have been in battle for years; some in court, some in the smartphone market.

The latest punch comes from the Korean side with the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. So far the word on the street has been that it is by far the most premium phone Samsung has ever produced, thanks to the use of premium materials such as metal and glass, a move that was most likely in response to criticisms of Samsung’s plasticy past. However in doing so, the phones lose the ability to swap out batteries and storage expansion capabilities as the back will be fixed, much like the iPhone.

The new phone also introduces better cameras and new colors, but most interestingly wireless charging through Samsung’s proprietary charging system. The new Edge version is the first to introduce curved screens on both sides.

The new phones will be available globally starting April 2015.
