What once was old is now new again. With the Puma X Chinatown Market Future Rider, Puma brings back its classic design of its 1980s Faster Rider. With the Future Rider, the company pulls from the classic look, this time adding in a lighter design and a shock-absorbing Federbein outsole. For this unique running shoe, Puma partnered with Chinatown Market, which is based out of Los Angeles. Chinatown Market added its own tweaks on the shoe, improving the silhouette and adding their signature graphic details to help give the retro-inspired shoes a look made for a new era.
The rubber outsole of the shoe offers improved traction while the upper portion of the shoe is constructed with leather and suede. It also features the classic PUMA Formstrip along the sides and a woven Puma and Chinatown Market labeling on the tongue. These revamped Future Rider running shoes are coming soon to carry on the legacy of one of Puma’s most iconic sneakers.
