Making the GoPro look like a cumbersome technological dinosaur, the Costa Mesa-based startup Opkix has released what they’re calling the “smartest, smallest, simplest, and most powerful lil camera” on the market today. Going on to call its One Camera as your smartphone’s best buddy, Opkix encourages consumers to think of the device as a camera lens extension — but one that is tethered neither by mounts nor cords.
This incredibly lightweight (11 grams) and compact (14 x 14 x 35mm) interacts wirelessly with your smartphone to capture photographs and video from anywhere. Wear the Opkix One on a necklace or record a true POV perspective from your sunglasses by employing various Opkix attachments. Waterproof and shockproof, this tiny camera can also affix to anything from motorcycle helmets to surfboards.
