We can never get enough of the good old heist fun. The ‘Ocean’s’ series returns with an all-female spin-off film ‘Ocean’s 8.’ With a star-studded cast of female powerhouses such as Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, and Rihanna, the new film pays homage to some of the most nostalgic bits of 2001’s ‘Ocean’s Eleven.’
It’s all in the family genes, and Danny Ocean’s sister Debbie (played by Bullock) is on parole and that can mean only one thing; with her friend Lou (played by Blanchett in a role similar to Brad Pitt’s Rusty in the Ocean’s trilogy), the duo go on a recruiting spree to scout for talent to rob the annual Met Ball gala.
From the computer whiz, to the inside (wo)man, quick hands, and the one who wants out, the rest of the Ocean’s crew just with female counterparts of most of the original ‘Ocean’s’ series is sure to delight.
