NordicTrack is typically associated with treadmills and exercise bikes, but at this year’s CES the brand announced a new direction it is taking with the release of the Vault. This is what NordicTrack is calling its all-in-one ‘smart fitness studio.’ One can’t help but think of the MIRROR when first seeing the Vault. However, it does distinguish itself from the MIRROR in a number of ways. The Vault consists of a cabinet with a mirrored door measuring 60- x 22-inches that encompasses a 32-inch HD touchscreen on which the iFit interactive platform can be streamed. The screen is seamlessly integrated under the mirror, creating a virtual one-to-one training experience. Using the mirror, you can keep an eye on your form while following workout instructions displayed on the screen.
The Vault’s mirror component also opens (with 360-degree rotation, no less) to reveal a unique feature: a sleek, carbon steel storage space divided into five separate racks to stash all your gym equipment. The NordicTrack Vault can be purchased as a standalone machine with a 1-Year iFit Family Membership (a $468 value). Or it can be purchased as a package with a handful of workout equipment, all of which can fit inside the cabinet. If you order the latter, you will get an exercise mat, two yoga blocks, three-loop bands (light, medium, and heavy), three resistance bands (20, 30, and 50 pounds), a set of dumbbells (5 to 30 pounds), a pair of kettlebells (20 and 30 pounds), plus a 1-Year iFit Family Membership. The NordicTrack Vault is available for pre-order now for shipping in February.
