At the heart of the partnership lies the special edition MR01 Outdoor Lounge Chair, exclusively crafted for Noah by Mathias Steen Rasmussen. Constructed with outdoor-ideal iroko wood, this chair retains the lightweight construction of the original design while embracing Noah’s coastal influence. To enhance its visual appeal, the chair features a woven rope engineered from a high-performance, waterproof polyester used in speed sailing. The vibrant rope is available in four captivating colors: yellow, royal blue, navy, and gray.
Complementing the MR01, the collaboration introduces a five-piece collection that captures the essence of the sea. The lineup includes a beach towel, a water-resistant 5-panel hat, swim shorts, a tote bag, and a boat-neck sweater. Each piece subtly incorporates rope motifs, mirroring the nautical theme. Notably, the accessories showcase a fresh interpretation of Gubi’s iconic fish logo, exclusively developed for this collaboration in a captivating rainbow colorway.
Noah’s Co-founder Estelle Bailey-Babenzien describes the inspiration behind the collaboration, stating, “The design of the MR01 is so classic — I wanted to add a bold, artistic expression and practical element to the design as an alternative to something that is already perfect.” By infusing weatherproof nautical rope into the chair’s frame, Bailey-Babenzien envisions these vibrant chairs brightening up poolside scenes or making a stylish statement in art-filled spaces.
