Nintendo has been struggling since the the smartphone has dominated the portable gaming market. It’s difficult to find a reason to lug around another device when many games can be found on the Apple Store or Google Playstore. Nintendo looks to give us a reason to carry around another device with the Nintendo 3DS XL that harks back to the classic NES control pad. For those of us with fond memories of the old school game console, this may provide the just right touch of nostalgia to encourage us to carry around a portable gaming console.
