Aston Martin has finally taken the covers off of the replacement for its best-selling vehicle. The New Aston Martin Vantage maintains the previous generation’s compact dimensions and drop-dead gorgeous styling, while imbuing it with a dose of its own character and flair that’s been missing in the previous Vantage.

Replacing a best-selling sports car can be a daunting task for a car manufacturer. There’s a balance between maintain its successful formula while also giving the vehicle a new breath of life. The new Vantage does this by borrowing design elements from the DB10 that was driven by James Bond in Spectre as well as the Vulcan. Unlike the previous Vantage that borrowed heavily from its big brother DB9, the new Vantage is a complete departure from the DB11, both inside and out.

Under the hood, the Vantage is propelled by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that’s been sourced from Mercedes-AMG that makes 503 hp and 505 ft-lbs of torque. Despite its German heritage, the engine has been massaged by the folks at Aston Martin to give the Vantage thoroughly British vocal chords.

The New Aston Martin Vantage will come with a price tag of $149,995, with expected first deliveries happening during the second quarter of 2018.
