McLaren 570S Coupe

At the turn of the decade, the pioneer in the F1 racing landscape McLaren announced its ambitions to manufacture street cars to reach a broader audience. After much anticipation, McLaren launched its first model, the MP4-12C, in 2011 only to disappoint early adopters. Despite its raw power and breathtaking design, the model had issues with its transmission calibration. The biggest problem were the doors, which were sensor-based and didn’t have handles, that didn’t always open when it had to, giving its owners a very awkward moment.

Four years have passed since the clunky debut of its first model, and McLaren has persistently upped its game with better cars each year. Now, McLaren is introducing the new Sports Series with the McLaren 570S Coupe, undoubtedly the most refined version in McLaren’s lineup, spearheading the way. Its 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine produces 562 horsepower, allowing top speed of 328km/h, 0-100km/h time of 3.2 seconds and a 0-200km/h of 9.5 seconds. Weighing 1,313kg, the 570S Coupe is at least 150kg lighter than most of its competitors thanks to its super-formed aluminum body panels. Also, don’t forget to check out the jaw-dropping designs: curvaceous chassis and aerodynamic flying buttresses in the C-pillar that will produce ample downforce when cornering at high speed.

The starting price for McLaren 570S will be $185K. It’s definitely not cheap, but it is the most attainable McLaren to date.
