What if the dream home of the future isn’t a big mansion on a beach, but a small pod on Mars? Designed not to accommodate our current reality but to envision and encourage a new one, the MARS Case is less home than dream. Technically a concept house, “living bubble” is a more accurate description for this self-circulating, zero-waste module, which is both inflatable and collapsible in mere minutes.

The tech is just as notable as the architecture, especially the MARS Case’s ability to harness and recycle energy, and hidden appliances that integrate into the same smartphone-controlled wireless system. But the design itself is also beautifully simple, with a nearly all-white interior and two huge portholes to take in the stars as inhabitants move from spot to spot in space.
