The Wave Rider 10 is taking on a new and even more attractive aesthetic under a new title, the Fire Phoenix Wave Rider 10.
Iconic Japanese activewear company Mizuno is now collaborating with London-based streetwear designer Maharishi for an olive-toned take on the legendary Wave Rider 10. Maharishi is known for designing utilitarian clothing made from recycled military outerwear.
The new Maharishi X Mizuno Fire Phoenix Wave Rider 10 reflects Maharishi’s style with military-like olive tones. An embroidered phoenix surrounding the Mizuno logo sets this shoe apart from any Wave Rider 10s released during the last 16 years.
While the shoe is clearly designed for streetwear, fans of Mizuno will appreciate the sports technology that makes it a cushiony, supportive shoe for everyday wear. The AIRmesh upper keeps feet cool and comfortable, and the suede overlays are Trusted Path Program certified.
The Maharishi X Mizuno Fire Phoenix Wave Rider 10 will turn heads and become a talking piece. This collaboration with Maharishi and Mizuno will be released on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Maharishi stores in London (11:00 GMT) and New York (11:00 EST).
