The latest design from LEGO has been inspired by a creative 20-year-old, who wanted to share his mother’s love of lighthouses with the LEGO world. Canadian Sandro Quattrini, a LEGO fan, submitted a concept for a new LEGO build. With over 10,000 votes, LEGO brought his lighthouse concept to life with the new LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse. Packed full of motorized functionality and the stylistic details LEGO fans have come to know and love, this LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse is sure to be an exciting and challenging build.

The Motorized Lighthouse contains 2,065 pieces. With an authentic design, this build mimics how an actual lighthouse works. The set features a lighthouse with its own island and a private staircase that leads to a cottage. The set comes with two minifigures and a boat, adding to the realistic detail in this set. The LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse is 22-inches tall (which includes the station), 10-inches wide, and 10-inches deep. There are several motorized features on the Motorized Lighthouse, including a revolving lens that is run by an electric motor. The lighthouse and the cabin can be opened to display a detailed interior. The LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse will be available beginning on September 1st, from LEGO Stores. The price for the set is $300.
