If you’re in the fortunate position to afford to drop seven figures on a hyper-car built only for track-days, Lamborghini has unveiled the car for you. Meet the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, a limited edition hyper-car featuring the raging bull’s more powerful naturally aspirated engine. Only 40 of the Essenza SCV12 will be built and is the first GT car developed within FIA prototype safety rules. Future Essenza owners will have special access to exclusive Lamborghini programs set to begin in 2021.
The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 naturally aspirated V12 engine is rated at over 800 horsepower, using a new X-trac sequential six-speed gearbox to send all that power to the rear wheels. The V12 screams down the track through Capristo exhaust pipes that also help reduce back pressure. The car is also superleggera thanks to a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with no roll-cage. The aerodynamics means the Essenza has more downforce at 155 mph than a GT3 race car, as it tackles corners rolling on Pirelli wrapped magnesium while covering a set of Brembo brakes. All this means that the Essenza SCV12 is built to attack the apex and use g-force to try and break you.
