Knoll recently unveiled the new Newson Task Chair from industrial designer Marc Newson. The designer imagined the chair from all angles to ensure that every surface, seam, and component meets his standards. One continuous line creates the Knoll Newson Task Chair profile’s cantilever shape. The design makes the seat appear to float, and Knoll says they carefully selected the refined textures to exude a sense of luxury. This innovative task chair features organic design, an elastomeric Honeycomb Back for a hammock-like effect, sophisticated technology in a sleek, cantilevered shaped silhouette, and an all-new tilt innovation. The mechanism flips vertically, concealed underneath the seat, while the T1 Control uses a vertical spring system to allow users to tailor the tension and recline experience unique to them.
The Knoll Newson Task Chair can be a standout statement piece or quietly blend into the surroundings. Additionally, the chair’s monochromatic colorway creates a sense of visual continuity, with options in four hues. Knoll says Marc Newson is a prolific designer with exceptional ability. The Task Chair pushes beyond performance and aesthetic expectations. Newson says the Task Chair is a physical expression of a matrix of ideas, including material production and ergonomics combined into a single effortless form. The Knoll Newson Task Chair is available for purchase through a Knoll dealer.
