While music streaming services offer lossless audio from their websites, most smartphones lack the internal DAC needed to decode lossless audio, creating a sub-par, lower-quality sound. The new Khadas Tea adapter, currently crowdfunding on Indiegogo, is set to unbind the limits of the smartphone, creating clear, amplified, and pure audio. The Khadas Tea is a headphone amplifier used with smartphones. Compatible with iOS and Android operating systems, the Khadas Tea is slim and stylish but can also pack a big punch. Using the ESS ES9281AC Pro DAC chip, the Tea can amplify sound, create better digital-to-analog conversion, and create optimal sound from an audio file, streaming service, or DSD file.

The Tea is exceptionally lightweight and thin, made of aluminum, measuring only 7.95 mm thick. The durable lithium-polymer battery can provide up to eight hours of continuous playback without depleting the mobile phone battery. The device comes with both a USB-C to C cable and a USB-C to Lightning converter, making it compatible with all smartphones and headphones. The Tea also has two microphones, allowing users to switch between telephone calls and audio seamlessly. The Khadas Tea audio booster is scheduled for release in March 2022 and will be available in either Teal Blue or Granite Gray colorways.
