The Italdesign DaVinci isn’t for sale, even if you wave a fat checkbook. Alas, it’s a concept, albeit one that is remarkably well-finished and likely to influence car design for years to come.

Named for the Italian polymath, the Italdesign DaVinci is a stunning GT. Essentially a fastback with a hint of Mustang, it’s long, wide, and low. The big grille and razor-thin headlights give it immense presence, and that’s before you spot the hood ducts. Perhaps a tad impractical, these hint at electric rather than gasoline propulsion.

More practical are the gull-wing doors. Their great length makes for easy rear seat access while the roof-hinges have them opening upwards rather than out. Continuing rearwards, we come to the taillights. Styled after F14 afterburners, these are sure to leave an impression as this car rockets away from those behind. Should it ever be built, that is.
