Harrison Ford Is Back In The Fifth And Final ‘Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny’

Thanks to CGI, the movie will include the younger and older Indy.

After debuting at the Comic-Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil yesterday, the much anticipated official trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny was revealed on the film’s official Twitter account. The movie features 80-year-old Harrison Ford back once again picking up his alter ego’s trademark fedora and whip for a farewell that features a few familiar faces and places. The trailer begins with Ford’s Dr. Henry Walton Jones Jr. seemingly hesitant to revert back to his action-filled ways while enjoying a simpler life as an archaeology professor — that is, until an old friend tempts him.

After years of rumors and speculation, Frank Marshall, Simon Emanuel, Steven Spielberg, and George Lucas have teamed up to produce this fifth installment in the Indiana Jones franchise. This time around, James Mangold (Ford v Ferrari, Logan) directs, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Shaunette Renee Wilson, and Mads Mikkelsen star, along with Ford.

Not only that, but John Williams is staying on to once again compose the score. However, according the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Official Trailer YouTube page, this will be the composer’s final movie score. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny follows Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will open in theaters on June 30, 2023.
