This is what HP must have felt when it had to drop Beats Audio from its line of high-end PCs and tablets after Beats was acquired by Apple in 2014. But as the no. 2 PC maker in the world, it was only a matter of time for HP to find an alternative, and now they’re teaming up with the legendary Danish audio technology company Bang & Olufsen. In all HP devices that carry the Bang & Olufsen or B&O PLAY brand, the audio circuitry will be isolated and the amount of metal used in the headphone jack will be minimized in order to deliver top-notch sound. With Bang & Olufsen on their side, HP can now tell Beats to just beat it.
