The iconic H. Moser & Cie. has teamed up with UNDEFEATED, a Los Angeles-based street culture brand and sneaker boutique, to produce the H. Moser & Cie. x UNDEFEATED Streamliner Chronograph. This surprising collaboration was discussed by Edouard Meylan, H. Moser & Cie’s CEO, who said, “H. Moser and UNDEFEATED have very similar values and we approach our industries in what feels like a familiar way.” He adds, “We challenge the establishment, push boundaries, and are constantly looking for ways to outdo ourselves, he adds. With this upcoming release, it appears they have done just that.
The idea for this particular collaboration came from Eric Cheng, one of UNDEFEATED’s co-owners and an H. Moser collector. As Cheng explained in the press release: “With its unconventional approach and philosophy, H. Moser & Cie. is a sort of UNDEFEATED of the watch industry. Two of its key strengths are that it is bold and ahead of its time. It’s a very inspiring brand.” So, when Cheng contacted Meylan, a new take on the manufacture’s Streamliner Chronograph was born.
The dark grey Streamliner Chronograph UNDEFEATED in DLC steel with a Tiger Camo fumé dial is a sport-inspired timepiece where the ingenious flyback chronograph function is placed upon a pattern that is engraved on the dial and given several coats of lacquer to create various shades of color. With 54 hours of power reserve, the watch brand’s in-house Calibre HMC 902 self-winding movement powers the innovative chronograph complication, which not only has flyback functionality but also features centrally-mounted chronograph seconds and minute hands, negating the need for any sub-registers. This watch is limited to just 76 pieces and will be sold via H. Moser’s website and select UNDEFEATED stores for $55,000 starting June 22. Those who purchase the rare timepiece will also receive a small capsule collection consisting of a matching wall clock and a tiger camo jacket.
