H. Moser & Cie. has taken the hybrid idea behind its Alpine Mechanics Edition and turned it into a standalone watch. The new Off-Grid combines an analog fumé dial with a digital module inside a 42.6mm Streamliner case, giving the independent Swiss brand a deliberately unconventional entry point into connected-era watchmaking without building a conventional smartwatch.
Developed with Swiss technology company Sequent, the D10 caliber handles analog time alongside GMT, a split-seconds chronograph, perpetual calendar, moon phase, sunrise and sunset information, vibrating alarm, timer, and an Off-Grid travel mode with a compact multilingual dictionary.
The steel case is finished in black or blue PVD, measures 14.4mm thick, and carries 120 meters of water resistance. Battery life reaches up to 12 months in time-only use, with shorter endurance when the digital functions are used regularly.
The concept follows Moser’s earlier Streamliner Alpine Mechanics Edition, but removes the Formula 1-specific framing and opens the architecture to a broader audience. Each color is limited to 1,000 pieces.
Existing clients receive first access from September 21–23, followed by public availability September 24 through October 5 via H. Moser & Cie.. U.S. pricing is $4,900; the brand lists CHF 3,900 before VAT in Switzerland.
